“I’ve worked in the People/Human Resource space for 16 years. The aim of HR Helpmate is to democratise and demystify HR processes & practices, by shifting the emphasis towards accessible, transparent, people-centric support for the individual employee. HR Helpmate steps into this void, offering impartial, straightforward guidance for employees who find themselves in tough situations. FAQs

Q: Who is eligible to use HR Helpmate's services?

A: Currently our services are best suited to permanent and fixed-term employees on PAYE payroll. Meaning the individual is directly employed by the company they work for, thus meeting the criteria of being considered an employee.

Our services are not currently suited to freelancers, agency workers, shift workers, contractors, individuals on zero-hours contracts, anyone working via a third party, any off-payroll individuals, or anyone who submits invoices for payment.

Q: How long are HR Helpline calls and what’s the cost?

A: Calls are 40 mins in duration, at £65 (VAT inc.) You can book as many 40 min calls as you require

Q: I need longer than 40 mins?

A: If you have an ongoing job-related issue that requires multiple calls over a certain period of time, you can book as many calls as you require, as and when you need them. No hidden fees. Book your call here.

Q: Will I be talking to a human?

A: Yes. You will be speaking with a living breathing human being, on an audio call. All calls are cameras-off in order to maintain your privacy.

Q: In which countries do you offer your services?

A: Currently, we offer our services in England, for employees working for UK registered businesses.

Q: Will my information be shared with third parties?

A: No, your information will never be shared with any third parties. While we do ask for your industry sector to better understand the culture of your sector/industry. You are not required to disclose the company you work for.

Q: Can I invite a guest to my consultation?

A: No. HR Helpmate is a personalised 1-to-1 service. The person would need to make their own separate booking.

Q: How do I book a HR Helpmate call?

2. Choose your preferred date & time and make payment

3. You will immediately receive confirmation of your time slot, and all corresponding call details will be emailed to you… that’s it!

Q: Can you provide legal guidance?

A: No. HR Helpmate is not an employment law service and we are unable to provide legal guidance or advice. We offer no obligation HR advice, and we have a strong understanding of UK employment law because HR practices and proceedures are underpinned in legislation.

Q: What’s the cancellation policy?

A: Cancellation refunds will only be issued when you cancel no less than 24 hours before your confirmed booking time slot. If however your booking is cancelled by HR Helpmate (regardless of the timeframe) we will always issue you with a full refund.

Q: How can I lodge a complaint?

A: Please reply to your feedback email (which you will receive after your call has taken place) with details of the issue. We will investigate the matter and respond to you within 7 business days.
